About us
Phase 1 - Addison Electrical Ltd formed
In 1983 our company was formed by Kenneth Addison who started off doing general electrical work. After several years he extended our business activities to building control panels. We now design and build customised control panels for water treatment plants, mills , agricultural installations and marine ballasting applications .
We also specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of monitor screens and controls for identifying and remedying faults in any process system.
We have a program of ongoing research and development to keep ahead of the field. All systems are personalised to our customer's requirements. We are committed to providing an extremely high standard of customer care and support and can be contacted 24 hours a day, all year round. Our control panels can be operated, monitored and diagnosed remotely by us in most locations throughout the world.
Phase 2 - Addison Electrical Ltd and Design & Engraving
Division formed
In 2007 due to continuous business growth we decided to install a CNC router system to mainly be able to make our control panel components in house for example mimic screens. This was the initial concept of having the router system and when leaving school Kenneth Ian Addison joined the family company to take the reins of this new operation.
“After a while I started doing market research and development strategies to see where we could extend our activities to. Once this was done with, I started carrying out various experiments with materials, tooling and designs to see how far I could push the envelope in design & manufacturing. Within a few months I started getting contracts from various other customers which turned the original concept into a sign shop.
In April 2009 I found that we were limited to what we could do as there is a lot of signs out there where there is manufacturing components and vinyl combined.
This saw our company investing in a design studio consisting of a CMYK wide format printer, vinyl plotting machine, laminator and full design & RIP software. The expansion has given us the flexibility to tackle nearly any project.”
